Grappa Riserva 'Nebbiolo da Barolo' Distillerie Francoli

"Nebbiolo da Barolo" is distilled from the stills of the Francoli distillery, which is based in the Novara area, in the village of Ghemme, to be exact, surrounded by vineyards. The founding brothers of this winery come from a family of historic distillers, ever since 1875 where in Campodolcino (SO), from a rudimentary still, Luigi Guglielmo Francoli gave birth to the first drops of the product that over time has become a brand of guarantee. "Sorsi di Nebbiolo da Barolo" grappa is part, along with seven others, of the Sorsi Di Luce line, poetically described by the producers as "a source of light like the eyes of a beautiful woman."

Grappa di Nebbiolo da Barolo is a Piedmontese barrel-aged grappa derived entirely from Nebbiolo pomace from the Barolo production area. The distillate begins its ageing in oak tonneaux, then moves to smaller barrels for at least 18 months, where contact with the barrique wood allows it to refine its colour and typical notes. Intense colour that sits in shades of gold with amber undertones. The aroma is intense, distinct and typical of this ageing technique, with nuances of sweet spices and small dehydrated fruits.
